The Medikin Online Network Attached Storage server performs daily backups of the 'Sound' server's audio files as well as the backend database and front-end HTML/scripts. The NAS server has 2 independent NIC cards built into the box - one interface is dedicated to Internet transactions and has an IP address that can be reached from the public Internet, while the secondary interface is a private side address that is used for internal backups from Medikin's servers. This backup scheme provides for yet another layer of security.
