(1) What is meant by “Medikin services are hardware and software independent”?
Medikin Online does not require any specific hardware or software at any user machine. Also, there is no setup at any side, only a browser (Internet Explorer version 7.0 or newer) and Internet connection is required to access Medikin Online.

(2) What Internet speed is required to access Medikin Online?
Medikin Online works on a thin client technology where the entire processing takes place on our servers, which are backed by very high speed, dedicated Internet lines.

(3) What are online records?
Medikin Online stores the audio dictations and transcribed reports online for the contractual period, which can be retrieved online by an allotted user ID and password. This eliminates the need, on the client side, to maintain a copy of the records, since they can be retrieved, edited, printed, faxed or emailed online.

(4) What dictation modes are available with Medikin Online?
All the possible digital dictation modes ranging from toll free number to hand held recorders and smartphones are supported.

(5) How is the workflow managed and files routed to the transcriptionists?
Medikin Online has advanced work routing modules based on a number of weighted average criteria. These can be set very easily per the file routing requirements. This way, all the dictations are assigned in the best possible manner to the available transcriptionists thereby making the optimum use of available resources.

(6) How secure are Medikin Online’s transmissions via the Internet?
Medikin Online uses the same 256-bit encryption technology that banks and other financial institutions use to transfer sensitive credit card information, so all of the transactions and transmissions are completely secure.

Medikin Online is designed to service small as well as big companies. It works on thin client technology, which makes operations simpler and convenient for all the users. For bigger companies, there are specialized service offerings to cater to their requirements.

Medikin has online customer support from Monday to Friday 9 AM to 5 PM. All the engineers are on call and can fix up any technical problems even during off-hours, holidays and weekends.
