Data Input Security
Medikin Online is accessed through a telephone and standard web
browser.
Security features for Telephone Access:
- Unique user identification digit strings
- ID string modifications customizable at user's discretion
- Logged and verified ID modifications
Security features for Internet Access:
- Unique usernames and passwords
- Access privileges associated by username
- Virtual company membership associated with each username
Transmission of Voice Files from Third Party Applications:
- Transmissions received via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) enabled
programs
- 256-bit or greater encryption
Data Model Server Security
Client organizations exist within Medikin Online as virtual companies.
All Medikin Online features including individual MTs and small,
medium, and large MTSOs (Medical Transcription Service Organizations) are represented as assets of the virtual
companies. Access to assets are controlled by:
- Sophisticated permissions that control access to the assets
of the virtual company, including create, read, and modify access
- The ability to create a network of independent virtual companies
and delegate access rights to them and within them
- Controlled system management access to passwords through the
virtual company mechanism
- Access to assets limited to account holders who exist within
a specific virtual company
