1. What is the service scalability?
Medikin, being a hardware and software independent service
offering, has practically no limit to the scalability of its operations.
Additional hardware and Internet bandwidth can be added to the system
as per the requirements, so that the user never faces any downtime or
congestion.
2. Do you implement any level of fault-tolerance?
Medikin Online is highly redundant at every possible failure point.
Additionally, the staff is trained to handle all possible contingencies
and to keep the system up and running continuously.
3. Can we maintain a copy of the data?
Clients do not need to maintain a copy at their site since Medikin
Online has sufficient redundancy already. If you nonetheless require
an additional copy at your site, we can devise a solution to meet
your needs.
4. Do you accept analog dictations also?
No, only digital dictations are acceptable as we do not provide medical
transcription services.
5. What is the maximum size audio file that can
be dictated on the system?
Toll free service has a restriction stating that audio files cannot
be more than 120 minutes long each. Digital recorders have their
own restrictions based on memory cards and functions.
6. Is there any limitation on the number of users
logging onto Medikin Online at a given time? We continually monitor
the utilization levels on the servers and upgrade the infrastructure
as required, so practically speaking, there is no limit.
7. Can I change my password online?
Yes, Medikin Online provides you with the facility of changing your
password online. While changing the password, the system asks you
to enter your old password and then the new password twice, so that
only you can change the password and know the new password.
8. Can I share my password with the other MTs or
QAs in my company?
No, for security reasons Medikin Online does not allow you to share
your password, and doing so is completely at your own risk and your own liability.
9. What if I forget my password?
You can reach your administrator or call our customer support department,
and after verifying your identity and authorization, we shall allow
you to choose a new password.
10. What support do you provide in the case of
any security breach?
As soon as we receive any complaint of a security breach from the
client, we keep the account under observation and suspend the transactions
at the client's request. The account is reactivated only after the
client's approval and all the passwords are changed to deter any
further malicious actions.
11. What additional security features do you have
for admin logins?
Admin logins are important and if hacked, can cause a lot of damage
to the system. We have a double key password system for such accounts,
and the data can be recovered if the notice of such a breach is
reported in time.
